Contact form

If you use the contact form, the information you provide (such as your name, email address, company, phone number and message) is processed for the purpose of responding to your inquiry. Messages are delivered by email and are not used for marketing mailing lists.

Measured links and QR codes

Links under /go/, QR-code links under /qr/, and legacy redirect links under /redir/ are measured to understand how the website, CV and professional links are used. The log may contain the date and time, destination, source channel, referring page, UTM campaign parameters, user-agent string, IP address and reverse-DNS hostname.

The IP address may also be used locally with MaxMind GeoLite2 databases to derive approximate country, region, city and autonomous system (ASN/network organisation) information. The IP address is not sent to MaxMind as part of this local lookup. Geolocation is approximate and may be inaccurate.

The purpose is traffic measurement, link diagnostics, abuse prevention and understanding which professional channels generate visits. Raw IP-address and reverse-DNS data are retained for up to 90 days. Aggregated statistics that no longer identify an individual may be retained longer.

Legal basis

Where the GDPR applies, technical traffic measurement and security logging are carried out on the basis of legitimate interests in operating, securing and understanding the effectiveness of this professional website and its links. Data is limited to what is reasonably necessary for those purposes.

Third-party destinations

Some measured links redirect to third-party services, such as LinkedIn. After the redirect, the destination service processes data under its own privacy terms.
