Wintel "accidentally" deleted production server, 3 hours prior to Go-Live. Despite of the fact, we fixed it on the same day, though!
On practical level, transformation is always hard, because most of the time the current business strategy or ways of working, is not aligned with the IT standards and best practises. The answer is to adopt an IT solution which may not meet the highest level of IT standards, yet still aligns with the business, and still meets the desired security and practical levels of IT.
Ever since the raise of mankind, the dream project is always the same: to reach the stars.
For me, it's aerospace IT, no questions about it.
AI itself won’t flip a dime itself. However AI can be "misused" by a small group of people.
It will not "decide" to enslave us — it has no willpower, no self-awareness, no goals, or desires. It processes data, patterns, and instructions.
But if society doesn’t set strong rules and checks, people (or governments) could use AI as a tool of oppression (e.g., mass surveillance, exploitative work automation, manipulation of opinions).
You should not afraid of implementing AI, you will not lose your job due to AI.
Like in personal transport industry - during the early 20th century - charioteers did not lose their jobs, but had become taxi drivers. We just change the toolset, chariot had been replaced with a car, your data crawler will be replaced by AI, your script will be replaced by AI.
You only lose your job if you do not adapt to use AI, because everybody else will do.
Do you want to chat about your IT?
If so, please drop me a line, and I'll schedule a Teams/Meet meeting.
